And I agree with that, but still feel awkward when it comes to draw that

I still love slash, but only between CC characters.
But where is the difference between pairing CCs and OC/CC? If you decide to pair two canon characters, don't you kind of treat them like OCs? (if you see what I mean)
I think OC/CC pairing can work, as long as you don't make the CC out of character. For now I know only one lucky girl who manages to do that (~outerglow), because most of the time it turns into an awful Mary-Sueish jam

I hate pairing wars and people getting offended over it. It's so stupid. Do it to make fun of the characters and the story and leave it at that.
I find it quite sad that I have never found anyone who has been able to make an OC/CC pairing work. You need the exception that tests the rule.
If you like Naruto, you should give ~outerglow's Hitteki Scrolls a try
So she's not the one who writes just to pair her favorite character with her alter ego and make them have kids. If I remember well, at the start she didn't plan to pair them up, they even were ennemies, but due to some hysterical fans, it finally evolved this way

I think it has to do with the girls who make this kind of pairing. They usually change the CC's personality and past so they fit together with their OCs, or they change the entire background history of that character so they fit with their OCs. Lets just say if you have to alter the world of the show that you're making just so your OC and the Canon Character can get together later, you've taken it too far.
But there are some people who can pull off the CCxOC pairing. If you can keep everyone in character and not change around the show, then you've got yourself a successful one.

Anyway.
Yeah, I've seen texts like that
But one can wonder, how OOC is a canon character showing a new personality?
Lemme explain. When you meet someone in real life, you spend time with him, think you know him... and suddenly you discover a new side of his personality you wouldn't have suspected. That's normal, we never know exactly how people are.
So now, if a CC personality slightly shifts from what we're used to see in the manga/anime/book/movie/etc., to something new and OOC, is it so shocking? Maybe this could just be a trait of character the author didn't show?
... I know I'm thinking way too much

Yup, it really is the main problem. Nobody analyses the character or why their past is important before they start changing things around so their OC fits into the story. Dx’’
I think you’re right about seeing a different side to a person when you get to know them, but some fans even take that too far! My own pairing fandom, kakairu, makes me grit my teeth and want to bash my head into my desk sometimes because of the way some people portray Iruka and Kakashi in their works. I also think fandom has a lot to do with how people view characters because of what I’ve seen with kakairu, and that’s what leads to all the personality changes. When people read too much fanfiction/doujins (***Even with no pairings, just single character focus fics/comics can lead to this kind of thing, too. ***) they forget where canon ends and where fandom begins.
And you weren’t thinking too much! You’re very right! It needs to be done tastefully or not all. (I kind of went on a rant right there. o—o’’ Sorries!) But to be honest I really only got turned off of OCxCC because I recently got into the WATCHMEN graphic novel, and then later tried to enter the fandom with reading some fan fiction…and I’ll just say some Rorschach fan girls have made me very sad. D’x

I love Kakairu too, and I had the misfortune to find some horrible fanfics too
(though I like the cute side of this pairing when I imagine a blushing Iruka and a sarcastic Kakashi. I don't really believe they're in love in the manga as some people do - fan wars, once again)
Oh I didn't see it as a rant, don't be afraid
I don't know Watchmen so I have no idea who you're talking about
